EMOTIONAL STORYTELLING FOR the intentional & in love

if so, you must be pretty freaking cool...

-Rachel & Kristen // Maine Wedding

"If you're looking for a photographer who will not only deliver stunning, heartfelt photos but also be the kindest, most supportive presence on your big day, Maddy is your girl.

I don’t even know where to begin with how amazing Maddy is! From the very first moment we met, she made us feel so special and at ease. She’s truly the sweetest person, and her warmth and kindness shine through in everything she does. On our wedding day, she was like a fly on the wall, capturing every single moment so naturally and perfectly. It was as if she was everywhere and nowhere at the same time—never intrusive, yet somehow present for every beautiful, candid, emotional moment."

what to expect

Hey, I’m Maddy! If there’s one thing I truly believe as your photographer, it’s that your wedding day should be about you. Crazy, right?

I’m not another robot vendor having the same conversations with every couple, and taking the same emotionless photos at every wedding --- because I see absolutely no fun in that for you or for me! I want to get to know you, your story, your banter, your people, and what lights you up --- so I can capture the real you, the real story of your one-of-a-kind wedding day, your real belly laughs and tears, your favorite people really breaking it down on the dance floor, and the real feelings behind it all.

My goal is simple: to allow you the freedom to be fully present in every moment of your wedding day, while still creating emotional, magazine-worthy photos that reflect your unique day. If by the end of the day, I feel like a friend who just happens to be capturing killer photos of you, then I’ve done my job.

When you look back at your wedding photos 20, 30, even 50 years from now, what photos will matter most? Chances are, it won’t just be the perfectly posed shots — it’ll be your best friend's tears as you step into your dress, the unfiltered family photos, the late-night dance party in your living room, your sister, barefoot, helping you carry your dress across the streets of York, Maine. It'll be the photos that tell a story --- your story.

Anyone can take a photo of a beautiful thing, but my goal when taking a photo isn't to capture "beautiful". It's to capture "raw, real, and vulnerable". Because those in-between, blink & they're gone moments are what you'll cherish 50 years from now, and are the most beautiful thing to me.

Fifty years from now, I don’t just want you to just see your wedding day — I want you to feel it, over & over again.

stiff poses & forced smiles bore me,
