Just a 2-hour drive from Boston is the rustic wedding venue Longlook Farm located in Sanbornton, New Hampshire. It’s the perfect getaway weekend for a nature-loving couple, like Izzy and Josh, looking for a gorgeous mountain-view wedding that exceeds expectations. As an experienced wedding photographer, I cannot recommend this wedding venue in New Hampshire enough, and the pictures speak for themselves! From the pastoral charm, natural wood tones, and colorful decor, this Summer wedding was unforgettable.

Longlook Farm Welcome Party
Longlook Farm is truly a magical experience, from the outdoor mountain views and the twinkling indoor barn event spaces, to the Adirondack-styled accommodations, and all the little details.

They offer overnight lodging for up to 40 of the couple’s family and friends, so Izzy and Josh had their close friends and family come beforehand and stay on-site. Their guests had the option to stay in cozy wood cabins or glamping yurts in the tranquil New Hampshire forest.

Izzy is naturally creative and loves to sew, so she let her artistic side shine through by crafting a “Camp Pete” sign that hung on the main house and was moved to the party barn later on. Guests had the opportunity to sign their names and well-wishes on the sign later on, which ended up being a cute personal touch that showcased her creative side!

They had an intimate outdoor dinner where speeches were made, gourmet pizza and drinks were served, and it ended up being the best way to spend time all together in a beautiful outdoor setting before the rustic wedding even took place.

Getting Ready + First Look in the Rustic Wedding Venue

The ladies got ready together inside the Longlook Farm wedding party suite while the boys had too much fun at the whiskey barrel bar (as they should)!

Izzy looked breathtaking with her hair pulled back to show off her long pearl teardrop earrings, a flowing white veil pinned into her chic low bun, and an elegant white Reformation dress with asymmetrical sleeves paired with the cutest bright pink shoes to show off her artistic side!

She did her first look with her dad inside the main house, then came out to do her first look with Josh outside in the sunshine. Their first moment together was absolute perfection, framed by clouds of white hydrangeas and the stunning New England scenery behind them. Josh was beaming when Izzy came out, and he twirled her around before pulling her in close for a kiss. So romantic!

Outdoor Wedding Ceremony
The wedding ceremony was held outside in the crisp autumn air overlooking the mountains. It was truly the perfect set-up for an outdoor wedding.

The wood of the wedding canopy complemented the outdoor wedding venue, complete with the idyllic mountain setting and the rustic, wooden barn in the background, and was decorated with a splash of white, pink, and orange flowers bundled together at one corner. Every single person seemed to be either smiling or tearing up as Izzy walked down the aisle holding her beautiful bridal bouquet bursting with warm, sunset colors.

After the outdoor wedding ceremony, their wedding guests cheered as they walked back up the aisle hand-in-hand as newlyweds and headed off to cocktail hour!

Cocktail Hour + Dinner in the Barn
Everyone transitioned into cocktail hour laughing and smiling and ready to party while Izzy kicked off her pink shoes, enjoyed a Miller High Life, and took pictures with Josh and their friends and family!

Guests gathered together, let loose, and enjoyed the oyster shucking station and open bar before making their way into the Longlook Dinner Barn.

Izzy and Josh included their own little personal touches to a lot of their wedding decor. In addition to Izzy’s handmade “Camp Pete” sign, she also thrifted fun purses for her bridesmaids to match their unique personalities, and they displayed table numbers on a board with unique, vintage picture frames to show guests where to sit, really playing into the rustic wedding venue vibe at Longlook Farm in NH.

The fun, vibrant color palette brought life to the natural birchwood and bistro lighting. Beautiful bouquets of flowers boasting their pink, orange, and white color palette brought warmth and color to every dinner table, and the doors all around the sides of the barn opened up so guests could feel like they were eating dinner in the great outdoors.

Rustic Wedding Reception
Desserts were served and the reception was held inside the party barn. Izzy and Josh had so much fun with their guests and everyone laughed and danced the night away!

Izzy and Josh had so much fun in front of the camera, and didn’t shy away from bringing their natural goofy, artsy, authentic selves in front of the lens! Our engagement session the summer before the wedding seemed to really help them feel comfortable in front of the camera. We had so much fun getting to know each other beforehand so when the wedding day came, their true personalities could shine through!

Everything about this wedding felt warm and I really aimed to capture the homeyness of the rustic New Hampshire wedding venue with the vibrancy of the party. Every moment felt full of energy and life, and the magic of the nature-centric space made everyone at the party feel comfortable and at ease.
